Kaspersky Security Cloud Free
Kaspersky Security Cloud Free 2021 (KSCF) is Kaspersky's free antivirus, as part of the Security Cloud product line, which includes Adaptive Security that is not present in “traditional” versions of Kaspersky, such as Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Total Security.
Adaptive Security notifies the user when there are any recommended changes. Some examples:
- If the user accesses an online service where there has been a password leak, Adaptive Security suggests creating a new password
- If it connects to an insecure Wi-Fi network, she suggests using VPN
- If any installed application is out of date, she suggests installing the new version of it
This kind of help is very useful, as unfortunately the vast majority of Internet users don't worry too much about their online safety. Furthermore, Security Cloud products are tied to the My Kaspersky account rather than being tied to a license – and that's a big plus!
This way you can remotely install and activate Kaspersky Security Cloud without worrying about the device being used.
Example: You have Kaspersky Security Cloud Family for 10 devices installed on 10 computers, but you need to activate it on a new computer. To do this, you can simply deactivate one of the existing Kaspersky Security Cloud licenses on one of the 10 devices in use, “transferring” it to the new computer.
By doing this, the computer that had Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal that was disabled was not left unprotected: Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal “turned” into Kaspersky Security Cloud Free (free version covered in this article), while the new computer has Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal working there.
The conclusion of this is that in this scenario you can use Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal simultaneously on 10 devices (computer, notebook or smartphone) regardless which these devices are, allowing you to activate or deactivate it according to your need.
